Arheološki muzej u Zagrebu provodi program „IZ MUZEJA… U ŠKOLE!“ u osnovnim i srednjim školama u Zagrebu i okolici. Program IZ MUZEJA… U ŠKOLE! sastoji se od 13 interaktivnih i edukativnih radionica koje prate zbirke Arheološkog muzeja u Zagrebu. Radionice su prilagođene dobnim skupinama i usklađene su s nastavnim predmetima i kurikulumom.
S obzirom na to da zbirke i stalni postav Arheološkog muzeja u Zagrebu trenutno nije dostupan učenicima osnovnih i srednjih škola u programu IZ MUZEJA… U ŠKOLE! pripremili smo radionice koje će iz Arheološkog muzeja u Zagrebu ići u škole. Radionice su to koje prate Pretpovijesnu zbirku kao što su „Život neandertalca“, „Izgradi pretpovijesnu kolibu“, „Dječje igračke“, „Kasnohalštatski ratnik“ i „Tkanje“, radionice koje prate Egipatsku zbirku poput „Pišemo i čitamo hijeroglife“ i „Egipatska piramida“, radionice koje prate Antičku zbirku „Rimski mozaik“, „Grčke vaze“ i „Rimska pločica“ i radionica “Obrada metala” koja prati Srednjovjekovnu zbirku. Dvije radionice „Muzejska kocka“ i „Kosti pričaju priču“ obrađuju sve četiri spomenute zbirke.

„Arheološki muzej u Zagrebu sa svojom stalnim postavom bio je središnje mjesto posjeta učenika osnovnih i srednjih škola iz cijele Hrvatske. Razloga tome bilo je mnogo, uz to što je postav bio dio kurikularne nastave do toga što je bio intrigantan, zanimljiv, edukativan te uz svoj dodatni didaktičko – radionički dio, zabavan. Tako su učenici bolje pamtili naučeno školsko gradivo, ali i zanimljivosti iz Muzeja. Potres 2020. godine znatno je oštetio zgradu Muzeja te je Muzej već dvije godine zatvoren za javnost, pa tako i za učenike osnovnih i srednjih škola. Uz to, stradao je upravo stalni postav. No, kako bi i dalje učenicima pokazali Muzej i sve ono što se u njemu čuva, didaktičko – radionički dio prebacio se u škole. Putem raznovrsnih prezentacija, digitalnih aplikacija i virtualnih šetnji programom IZ MUZEJA… U ŠKOLE! učenike se uvodi u stalni postav Arheološkog muzeja u Zagrebu. Uz to, svojim radioničkim dijelom prati se kurikularna nastava u osnovnim i srednjim školama te tako ovaj program, osim svoje kulturne ima i obrazovnu vrijednost.“ (autorica programa IZ MUZEJA… U ŠKOLE!, Zorica Babić, muzejska savjetnica pedagoginja Arheološkog muzeja u Zagrebu).
Program IZ MUZEJA… U ŠKOLE! sufinanciran je od strane Ministarstva kulture i medija kao program koji potiče razvoj publike u kulturi u Republici Hrvatskoj.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 8th scientific conference Methodology and Archaeometry which will take place on 3rd and 4th of December 2020 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb
The scientific conference Methodology and Archaeometry is being organised by the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb since 2013. The goal of the conference is to entice interdisciplinarity, critical thinking, new insights and approaches as well as new theoretical frameworks in contemporary archaeological science. Coverage of a wide spectrum of themes and scientific disciplines has resulted in papers and discussions that promote scientific issues in the fields of methodology, documentation and interpretation of archaeological data.
The interdisciplinary character of the conference brings together archaeologists and researchers from other scientific disciplines with whom archaeologists collaborate closely; and who – through their work, projects and ideas – promote new insights about the interpretation of the human life in the past.
Section Methodology
The main questions this section is aimed to address are:
- 1. Archaeological methodology: Recent trends and continuous problems
- 2. Interpreting archaeological record
- 3. Misuse of the archaeological record
- 4. Archaeological heritage management standards
- 5. Data sharing in archaeology: Open access digital repositories
- 6. Experimental archaeology
- 7. Technological advances and underwater archaeology
Section Archaeometry
The main questions of this session are:
- 1. Raw material provenance studies
- 2. Archaeological methodology in the interpretation of archaeometric studies
- 3. Technological studies
- 4. Radiocarbon analysis and interpretation

Natječaj za upis u Poslijediplomski doktorski studij predmoderne povijesti na Filozofskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu otvoren je do 30. rujna 2018. Kandidati i kandidatkinje mogu se natjecati za dodjelu „stipendije za studiranje na temelju izvrsnosti“ koja uključuje oslobođenje plaćanja školarine u trajanju od tri godine, a u skladu s kriterijima objavljenima uz natječaj.
