ARHEOLOGIJA.HR – PRVI HRVATSKI ARHEOLOŠKI PORTAL
Arheologija.hr (www.arheologija.hr) prvi je hrvatski arheološki portal kojemu je cilj prezentirati informacije iz različitih izvora s područja arheologije iz zemlje i inozemstva.
U odnosu na portale pojedinačnih institucija iz područja arheologije, Arheologija.hr objedinjuje na jednom, internetski dostupnom mjestu, informacije vezane uz arheologiju iz različitih izvora s ciljem pružanja jedinstvenog pregleda arheološke mreže na području Hrvatske i inozemnog okružja. Arheološki sadržaji prezentiraju se pružanjem dostupnih stručnih i popularnih informacija te njihovom prezentacijom primjerenom elektroničkom mediju i ciljanom čitateljstvu.
Neposredni cilj prvog hrvatskog arheološkog internet portala ARHEOLOGIJA.HR doprinos je širenju interesa za arheološku baštinu povećanjem dostupnosti sadržaja širem krugu javnosti, osobito mladoj populaciji usmjerenoj na korištenje Interneta.
Popularizacija znanstvenih sadržaja, znanstveno odgovorna interpretacija i adaptacija primjerena širem čitateljstvu, doprinosi razvoju senzibiliteta prema arheološkim vrijednostima općenito i, napose, onima u lokalnoj sredini, uz svijest o potrebi njihova očuvanja i integriranja u suvremeni prostor i aktivnosti, bez destrukcije i devastacije.
Konačni cilj Portala je ostvarenje percepcije arheoloških spomenika u domaćoj javnosti kao autohtonih vrijednosti u životnom kontekstu, a ne samo u institucijama (muzejima) i zaštićenim lokalitetima, osobito u područjima i gradovima s kontinuitetom življenja, u kojima se arheološki spomenici nalaze u neposrednom javnom i privatnom prostoru.
Portal pruža informacije o:
- događanjima u organizaciji hrvatskih i inozemnih arheoloških muzeja, instituta, gradskih, zavičajnih i drugih muzeja s arheološkim zbirkama, fakulteta, a odnose se na aktualna istraživanja, otvorenje izložbi, prezentacije knjiga, predavanja, znanstvene i popularne susrete (kongresi, konferencije, kolokviji, seminari, predavanja, festivali), vijesti iz drugih medija
- biografijama zaslužnih arheologa, kao i razgovorima s njima
- studiju arheologije, stipendijama i mogućnostima zaposlenja
- arheološkim lokalitetima u zemlji i inozemstvu
- arheološkim stručnim i popularnim publikacijama
Suradnici Portala uglavnom su mladi doktori znanosti, diplomirani arheolozi te arheolozi u procesu izrade doktorata.

Arheologija.hr was formed to present information from various sources related to archaeology and other cultural content from Croatia and internationally on one online accessible platform (individual institutions also have their own websites where they promote their activities). A large part of the content consists of articles written by the editor-in-chief (me) and other associates. The aim is to offer a general overview of the archaeological network in Croatia and internationally.
The immediate objective of this website is to present archaeological heritage to a wider audience, especially to internet users. It is also a platform where experts from archaeology and related fields, both local and international, are able to interact and be informed about the events organised by other institutions of interest.
Science popularisation helps in developing a sensibility towards archaeological values in general. It is especially aimed at local people. We spread awareness about the necessity of preserving and integrating archaeological heritage in the modern world.
Our broader aim is to get people to value the archaeological monuments they encounter around them, i.e., not only those in museums. We hope to achieve this mainly in larger areas such as towns with continuous living, where archaeological monuments are present in the immediate public and private space.
The Website offers:
- information about events which are organised by Croatian and foreign archaeological museums, institutes, other museums with archaeological collection, universities: current archaeological excavations, exhibition openings, book presentations, lectures, scientific and popular meetings (congresses, conferences, festivals, etc.);
- biographies of notable archaeologists, and interviews;
- information about studying archaeology and possibilities of employment;
- information about local and foreign archaeological sites;
- scientific and popular archaeological publications.
The Website can be seen as an online database of the numerous activities related to archaeology.
