Recycle, ideas from the past

5th April – 13th May 2018
Archaeological museum Istria

The exhibition Recycle, ideas from the past is hosted by the Archaeological museum Istria in Pula and will be open from 5th of April until 13th of May. The organizers and authors of the exhibition are Institute of archaeology (Dr Andreja Kudelić), Department of Archeology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb (Dr Ina Miloglav), Archaeological Museum (Dr Jacqueline Balen) and Archaeological Museum Istria. Scenography, design and graphics preparation of the exhibition was done by Antun Sevšek and Damir Gamulin. The exhibition seeks to show how our ancestors recycled materials, re-used objects, and how this concept was incorporated into cultures from the past. The aim of the exhibition is to show that the recycled materials and items played a very active role in the society, that the cases of reuse of a particular material were not isolated and that the ideological background of reuse and recycling had a far more complex significance for the society.
